Sending your Resume:
There are many formats to send your resume.
The most popular format is Microsoft word
for windows, a .doc file. (filename.doc) If you are using this
software you shouldn’t have a problem, just save it as you
usually would and send it as an attachment.
If you are not using Microsoft Word we
suggest you send it as a text file using Microsoft WordPad or
NotePad (filename.txt). If you have the proper software, send
your resume as an Adobe Acrobat Reader file or PDF. (filename.pdf).
Most people have this software to view the document and if they
don’t it can be easily downloaded for free.
Another way, but lacking almost all formatting
options, is to include your resume in your email message.
Sending photos:
Step one: Choose the photo: Sometimes
an employer requires a photo to be sent with your resume. This
is completely normal in some countries. Send a recent photo. Look
clean and personable.
Step two: Due to the size of some photos, photo optimization
is needed. Use your imaging software that came with your scanner
or digital camera to do this. If you have neither you can download
free software to do the job.
Step three: Email the photo. Use your favorite
email service like Hotmail or your favorite email software
like Outlook. Simply add the photo as an attachment, write
your message and subject and hit the send button.
